My four year old son wanted a "step in" shoe so that he could have an easier time putting on shoes by himself, without requiring assistance. My main concern was finding him one that also provided good support and wouldn't come off easily- these do the trick. He enjoys wearing them all day. They fit him true to size but one thing to mention, though, is that they can't really accommodate thicker socks as they do hug the feet closely.I absolutely love this shoes and my six-year-old seems to love them too. They fit very well and the width is good for those that have a regular size foot - not too narrow but not wide either. The quality of the leather and construction of the shoe is very good, as well as the comfort. I will certainly buy another pair.These held up very well for my boys. They were comfortable, somewhat dressy, but still good for running around.The shoes are very nice looking and lite.
